There are 3 walking groups
The programme of walks for each group is shown below
You are advised to check the latest details with the walk leader the previous day
All Day Walkers 1
The Group’s walks are about 5 miles in length, and take place once a month in the morning, starting at 10am, and ending with lunch in a pub. All walkers (who must be U3A members) are welcome. Please let the leaders know by the previous day if you intend to join the walk, and to confirm the details.
All Day Walkers 2 - The Retreads
We welcome new members on all our walks. All-day walks are typically 8 – 10 miles and half-day walks about half that distance. No need to book – just turn up at the advertised starting place – but we do start on time.
All Day Walkers 3
Please let the leader know by the previous day if you intend to join the walk.
Health Walks are available as an alternative walking option. They are free and start from various locations and have lengths and speeds for all abilities. Their leaders include four members of All Day Walkers 3: Derek Blundell, Jan Howell and Dale Greenwood in Winchester and Nick Waring in Overton. WALKERS GROUP 1
Previous information about a possible walk in September was incorrect and we have no plans for walks in the immediate future. I will be in touch by email when we are able to resume our walks.
WALKERS GROUP 2 THE RETREADS
There will be no walking programme for the present but the matter will be kept under review and a notice issued when we feel that we can safely resume our activities.
Don Fox, Chairman, The Retreads
WALKERS GROUP 3 DECEMBER
In line with advice issued by Public Health England we have postponed our walks.
An update will be published in the June when hopefully we can resume.
Chris Sharratt, Chairman, Walkers Group3
