We are a small friendly walking group, and welcome new members joining us on our monthly all day walks, summer months evening walks, and occasional half day walks. Each year, one or more of the Group's members offer plan and lead a walk around the local countryside, close to or occasionally slightly further from Winchester. All day walks are typically around 8 miles and evening or half day walks around half that. There is no need to warn anybody you are coming, but please do note that all walks leave promptly at the stated time, please check the time and specific walk details published in the magazine or online.

Short Walks 1
Joanna Pope, who has led Short Walks 1 for many years, has decided to hang up her boots, as did Sue Gildersleve, who led Short Walks 2 until a couple of years ago. I am sure that many of you will want to join me in thanking them both for contributing to the activities of the Branch over the years and wish them both well for the future.

Health Walks
Health Walks are available as an alternative walking option. They are free and start from various locations and have lengths and speeds for all abilities. Their leaders include four members of All Day Walkers 3: Derek Blundell, Jan Howell and Dale Greenwood in Winchester and Nick Waring in Overton.
